Ian Howell has been in the financial services profession since 1989 and has been providing independent financial advice since 1998. Ian is Level 4 Diploma Qualified and has a real passion for the investment side of the business. For 15 years, Ian presented the “Business News” section during the breakfast show on BBC Radio Norfolk. He has submitted editorial comment to the Financial Times, The Mail on Sunday and other publications regarding aspects of financial advice during his career as a financial adviser. Outside of work, Ian is a season ticket holder at Norwich City and he enjoys travel, good food and spending time with friends and family.

James Harrison

James has been a practicing financial adviser since 1998, becoming independent in 2003, with a client portfolio comprising both personal and corporate clients. With over two decades of experience as an adviser James is well placed to advise his clients in all aspects of financial advice. His straightforward manner is highly appreciated by his clients as is his ability to break down the complex side of financial services into understandable plain English. James prides himself on his personal service and is passionate about ensuring client advice is of the highest quality and truly independent. Away from the office James enjoys various sports and has a love of travelling and motorcycles, having toured most of Europe on various motorcycles over the years with the further afield destinations being visited using the slightly more leisurely option of an aeroplane.

Jack

Jack Guyton DipFA

After completing his A levels in Law, Economics and Physical Education Jack started his career at Norwich & Peterborough as a customer advisor/consultant before moving into the Independent Financial advisory side of the industry. Jack has now passed his level 4 diploma in financial services earning him the entitlement to use the moniker of DipFA after his name and enabling him to pursue his goal of becoming an adviser in the future. Outside of work Jack enjoys playing football and has represented Norfolk at U18’s level. He currently plays for Norwich CBS who compete in the Thurlow Nunn First Division North.

Jason

Jason Tuttle APFS

Jason started his career in financial services as an administrator, has since progressed through a paraplanning (research) role and is now a Chartered Financial Planner. This has given him an in depth understanding of how each individual part of financial planning is structured. As a retirement specialist Jason prides himself on getting to know clients individually, understanding them and their financial situation and aspirations so that he is able to fully advise on what is best for them. He enjoys helping clients on their way to achieving their aspirations but also likes the fact that he can gather ideas for himself on the back of client experiences and lends some of his best travel experiences to the recommendations given to him by his clients. Aside from this he has a young family which he may ‘or may not’ extend in the future although he is not sure he has the choice! Jason is a keen athlete and tries to challenge himself in his own personal life recently setting himself the aim to climb the highest mountain in Europe, Mount Elbrus, and has others such as Denali in North America and Island Peak in the Everest region in his sights.

Mo started his career in financial services in 1987 working for Norwich Union, winding up final salary schemes. He has performed various roles over the years including specialist project work and training. His considerable experience has included working as broker representative as well as an independent financial adviser. More recently, Mo looks after large investment portfolios and businesses with complex financial planning needs. Mo demonstrates his expertise to his clients and he has also lectured for the Personal Finance Society. Outside normal office hours, you can find Mo combining business with pleasure as he enjoys attending various business functions and networking groups. Aside from this, he has a busy family life and enjoys reading, playing football, competition ten pin bowling and holidays.

Sean

After graduating from the University of Plymouth with a first class degree in Mathematics, Sean has found a path in the financial services industry where he has been enjoying his career for the past five years. In this time, Sean has developed into an experienced paraplanner and has attained his Level 4 diploma, with further ambitions to achieving chartered status. Sean takes great pride in supporting advisors to ensure that they offer the best possible solution to meet their client’s needs and objectives. In his spare time Sean enjoys keeping active, going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.

Josh

Joshua Bulmer

Josh started his career in the hospitality industry at the one Michelin starred restaurant Morston Hall after 3 years studying catering at Norwich City College. Josh learned key skills to help him in numerous situations, after being in a high pressured and detail orientated environment. Josh then progressed into the financial services profession in 2017 and has ambitions of qualifying as a Paraplanner with an end goal of becoming a financial adviser. Josh is currently in the process of studying for his exams to gain the necessary qualifications to do this. Away from work Josh enjoys going to the gym, motorsport and would like to broaden his travel horizons in the future.

Ben

Ben graduated from The Open University (OU) in 2018 with a BSc in Computer Science and Business, whilst working various roles across different industries, including Norwich’s Aviva (twice!). Towards the end of the degree, Ben decided to begin the formal transition into the financial sector, taking a role with an Investment Management Company to further his knowledge and skills learnt in previous finance-based undertakings. Since November 2019, Ben has been studying towards an MSc in Finance at the OU, with the aim of expanding and solidifying his financial knowledge. Away from the office, Ben has interests in reading, computing, cryptology, investing and technology start-ups.

Georgia


Georgia Mackelden

Georgia has just finished her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care at City College Norwich after having an aspiration of becoming a Substance Misuse Nurse within the NHS Foundation Trust. Within her course, Georgia was taught all relevant legislation and key skills which can easily be implemented in a variety of different professions, this was then later assessed in difficult and complex environments, alongside having internal examinations. After completing the Extended Diploma, Georgia then progressed onto the Financial sector after deciding she wanted to change her aspirations and expand her financial knowledge. Georgia enjoys reading, travelling and has ambitions to progress within the professional sector.

Jake

Jake Anema

Jake started his further education by gaining a Diploma in sports science at Easton college. However a keen interest in stocks and shares and investment matters meant that he was eager to start his financial services journey and did so at the end of 2018. Jake is now aiming to take further professional examinations to ensure his career progression throughout the firm. Away from work, Jake plays football for Harleston Town FC, plays cricket for Dereham Cricket Club, is a golfer with a current handicap of 5 and he is also currently training for a half marathon.
